The UBC Youthful Cities Commission held a meeting in Gdańsk on 20-21 March 2024.
Youth workers, and representatives of Youth City Councils from Finnish, Danish and Lithuanian UBC member cities exchanged experiences with their colleagues from Gdańsk.
On the agenda there were topics: the development of the Commission – the scope of interest, types of actions, long-term goals; the idea of founding the UBC Youth Board, the content of youth-focused UBC Bulletin, YCC capacity building project and more.
The participants explored youth work practice of Gdańsk, meeting with the Director of Social Development Department, Katarzyna Ziemann and visiting the location of “Blue Sneakers” – the initiative helping children and young people in mental crisis.
