The spring’s first chamber music evening will take place in the Factory Hall, where the Music Institute’s chamber music groups will perform a diverse programme ranging from duets to quintets. Throughout the academic year, the works have taken shape through period-based instruction, ensemble rehearsals, and detailed part‑work under the guidance of each group’s instrument teachers.

The evening features rarely performed compositions spanning three centuries, with works by Johann Christian Bach, Joseph Haydn, Claude Debussy, Jacques Ibert and Enrique Granados. Finnish contemporary music is represented by Ilkka Kuusisto and Harri Wessman, while notable women composers from the 19th century and the turn of the 20th century include Clara Schumann and Mel Bonis.
