Sustainable Cities Commission meeting and the Baltic Active Mobility 2026 conference

2026-09-07 8:00 am to 2026-09-09 5:00 pm

The UBC Sustainable Cities Commission meeting 2026 is organised in Gdynia, Poland, back-to-back with the large conference “Baltic Active Mobility 2026: Shaping Future Cities” on 7-9 September.

This three-days event is hosted by the UBC member City of Gdynia and is co-organised by the UBC Sustainable Cities Commission (lead partner of the SUMPs for BSR project funded by Interreg BSR Programme).

On 7 September 2026, the pre-conference day will feature the UBC Sustainable Cities Commission meeting (afternoon) and site visits in Gdynia. Representatives from UBC member cities are  welcome to join the discussion on the emerging trends across different sustainability and climate topics, co-create priorities and joint actions for the coming year, and explore funding opportunities that support real, local impact.

On 8-9 September 2026, two full conference days will be devoted to the topic of active urban mobility. The Baltic Active Mobility conference brings together practitioners, experts and decision makers at local, regional and national level across the Baltic Sea Region to explore how active mobility and strong Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs) can shape healthier, more resilient and future-ready cities.
