Municipal Climate Adaptation in the Baltic Sea Region online workshop

UBC Cities are invited to join Municipal Climate Adaptation in the Baltic Sea Region Online workshop will take place on 19 May 2026, 9-12 CEST.

Workshop is directed especially to municipal planners, climate officers, and others with responsibility for climate adaptation and resilience in Baltic Sea Region municipalities.

This workshop is part of the work in the ClimaResponse project, focused on building municipal climate resilience. The workshop will include:

  • Results from a regional survey on how BSR municipalities currently work with climate adaptation
  • Peer discussion on the challenges you and others face in this work
  • Introduction to a digital planning platform for climate adaptation currently under development
  • Focused conversation on how the platform can address those challenges

Workshops will be prepared in the form of working session, where participants have genuine influence over what gets prioritised and how the platform is designed and will also connect with colleagues from across the region facing similar challenges.

City of Turku, that chairs UBC Sustainable Cities Commission is a partner in the ClimaResponse project, led by the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS).
