What would Gabriela Zapolska say today? Would she still be a scandalmonger? Or perhaps she would become a pop culture icon, a celebrity, a reality commentator, and the subject of media controversy? “Zapolska Superstar” is a theatrical journey inspired by the life and work of Gabriela Zapolska – an uncompromising, courageous, and painfully insightful artist. Directed by Mira Mańka, the play confronts her voice with contemporary times, demonstrating how many of the topics she wrote about remain relevant today. The poster for the play was designed by Ola Szmida – an illustrator, cartoonist, and director of animated films.
