Ukraine & the EU: Accession Process & Funding Opportunities online conference

UBC Cities are invited to take part in online conference Ukraine & the EU: Accession Process & Funding Opportunities, hosted by UBC Task Force Ukraine, 11 June 2026.
The conference brings together two focused sessions:
SESSION I — Ukraine’s EU Accession (14:00–15:10)
Keynote on Ukraine’s accession process, followed by a 50-minute panel discussion with:
- Martin Muehleck – Team Leader for Good Governance & Fundamentals at DG ENEST of the European Commission;
- Ihor Terekhov — Mayor of Kharkiv & Chair, Association of Frontline Cities of Ukraine;
- Mantas Jurgutis — President of UBC & Deputy Mayor of Kaunas;
SESSION II — EU Funding for Ukraine (15:15–16:00)
Presentation of key EU funding calls open to Ukrainian cities (Ukraine Facility, INTERREG, Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, LIFE), followed by a practical project development workshop and live city-to-city matchmaking.
Participation is free.
A Zoom link will be sent to all registered participants.
During the Conference there will be simultaneous English-Ukrainian translation available.
