Inclusive and Healthy Commission is one of the UBC commissions responsible for wide areas of topics related to human wellbeing, both physically and mentally.
Inclusive and Healthy Cities Commission has started working from the assumption that an inclusive city is a city governed by the community, and a healthy city is well-connected, accessible and safe. Self-dependency, independency and inclusion are other important elements that constitute a healthy city empowering local communities giving them a sense of agency and subjectivity.
In 2024 the Chairmanship of the Commission moved to Gdańsk which is widely known for its rich and inspiring heritage, democratic values, tolerance and solidarity. We believe that together we can do more and for this reason we would like to invite all partners that are willing to engage in action and the work of the Commission. This can take place by exchanging experiences and good practices in implementing social policies. It is also vital to implement and disseminate the idea of human rights as widely as possible. It is about acting in solidarity with other local governments and promoting a just, democratic and sustainable Europe.
