A unique, warm voice, onstage charisma, and authenticity. A wonderful vocalist, she possesses a unique personality with impeccable stage manners. She has recorded 15 albums and performed hundreds of concerts for audiences in Poland, Europe, America, Africa, and Asia.
She is one of the most outstanding Polish singers and is considered by jazz circles to be the First Lady of Polish Jazz. She began her distinguished career with the band Bemibek, a unique group on the Polish music scene at the time. She has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the Polish jazz scene, including Wojciech Karolak, Zbyszek Namysłowski, Jan “Ptaszyn” Wróblewski, Marek Bliziński, and Henryk Miśkiewicz. Since 1987, with brief breaks, she has collaborated with Andrzej Jagodziński, a pianist, arranger, and composer, another towering figure on the Polish music scene. She performs most frequently with Andrzej Jagodziński’s quintet, but also performs with leading Polish big bands. Her collaboration with one of them, Grzech Piotrowski, led to a new project, Ewa Bem – Loves the Beatles & Grzech Piotrowski Band.
