UBC  Inclusive and Healthy and  Cities Commissione Conference “Human rights in local government practice” will take place on 1–2 December 2025 at the European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk, Poland.

The event will bring together local government officials, city decision-makers, and human rights practitioners from Poland and across European municipalities to discuss how the human rights-based approach (HRBA) can be implemented in different areas of city life.

Participants will explore what makes a city inclusive, how to build alliances around human rights, and how to translate human rights principles into urban policies and everyday practice. The conference will also include practical workshop sessions on applying HRBA in various municipal contexts.
