Learning Cities Commission meeting, Turku
The Learning Cities Commission warmly invites you to a meeting and study visit to discuss and decide on what themes the Commission will work on for the upcoming year, and to learn more about topics such as new learning environments, STEAM education, attractive vocational education, and teachers’ capacity building.
The meeting and study visit will be held in Turku on 19–20 September 2022.
The study visit will be a 2-day event: during the first day of the visit the Commission will focus on the upcoming year’s working themes, choose a Vice Chair for the Commission, and discuss about setting up an Advisory Board. The second day of the visit will be dedicated to study visits in the City of Turku educational facilities. During the first half of the day, the participants will visit Syvälahti1, a basic education facility. The second half of the day is used to introduce the STEAM activities in Turku, and the best practices of Turku Vocational Institute, such as Oppimo2 and Space Lab3.
