The violinist has earned acclaim for her meticulousness (Gramophone) and delicate performances (The Guardian). A laureate of major competitions, including the Yehudi Menuhin (First Prize), the Henryk Wieniawski (First Prize), and the Indianapolis (Silver Medal), Soyoung Yoon is known today as a violinist and chamber musician of the highest caliber. She has performed as a soloist with the world’s leading orchestras and collaborated with such distinguished artists as Krzysztof Penderecki, Ivor Balton, Krzysztof Urbański, Muhai Tang, Maxim Vengerov, Eiji Oue, and Michał Nesterowicz.
