As a part of YUPAD project, “Youthful budgets shaped by young people – Youthful cities” dissemination event was organised in Gdansk on February 21st, 2024.
It gathered experts on participatory budgeting and meaningful youth participation. Ms. Marta Dzierzawska from Gdansk (Poland), Ms. Aleksadra Ilijin from Novi Sad (Serbia) and Ms. Dace Ribena from Riga (Latvia) shared current trends and achievements in their cities regarding citizen engagement in shaping local budgets.
YUPAD project is designed to empower youth with the knowledge and skills necessary to engage with, shape, and influence participatory budgeting processes throughout their municipalities. It has delivered training programs to strengthen the capabilities of educators and municipal officials to facilitate participatory budgeting.
