Union of the Baltic Cities through its Antenna in Brussels will organize and moderate a workshop under the title “Youth Empowerment 2.0 in the 21st Century – Trends and Policy Solutions” within the EUSBSR Annual Forum 2023 on 5^th of October 2023 in Riga, Latvia.

The policy workshop aims to explore the opportunities and challenges faced by young people in the 21st century and to identify policy and ICT solutions that can empower and enable them to shape a better future for themselves and for society as a whole.

The workshop will explore 4 topics connected to empowerment of young people:

• Digital Transformation, with focus on the impact of digital technologies on youth empowerment;
• Entrepreneurship and Employment, exploring how to encourage entrepreneurship and employment among young people in the region;
• Education and Training, discussing educational and training opportunities available for the youth in the region;
• Encouraging Active Citizenship, focusing on how cities in the BSR are engaging young people in decision-making processes.
